Here's the link to the story on Ten News Sydney. http://ten.com.au/ten-news-sydney.htm?movideo_m=286344

Looks like it's floating?

Ford could use the headline & put a positive spin on the story, saying the Falcon's not sunk yet!!!

I seen it on the news too, I thought it was Torquay?

Looked like a very nice g6e turbo, but I admit that I shook my head at the owners stupidity.

The weight of the water in the car really decked it further when they pulled it out of the drink.

Lol, it had the launch stance, as it came up the launching ramp.....

Awesome.

edit - but shame on the owner taking it anywhere near salt water, let alone IN salt water.

I so want a G6E turbo, in that dark metallic blue colour.

I've been a boatie / jetskier all my life and the stupidity of people at boat ramps is astonishing. Recently I had to help a guy who reversed his van and trailer so far into the water that the front wheels were half submerged. His response was that's how i always launch my boat.

Even yesterday I was on the brisbane river and I saw a guy begin to reverse his new jet ski into the water before hearing a crunch and the unmistakable sound of shattering fibreglass. Sure enough said jet ski was lying in the middle of the concrete boat ramp. We helped the owner get it back on and turns out it was never strapped onto the trailer using the winch and was only being held by the safety chain. he took the safety chain off before reversing and off it slid. He said he never uses the winch because he rides it onto the trailer.

Heard many stories over the years of cars ending up in the drink simply because people only put the hand brake on or leave it in gear, not both.

Cars is in see water, will be stat write off. No need to worry about it being on sold to be re registered. I have seen this a few times. Best one a guy got a $150000 merc from auctions, paid $70000k for it. It went into the drink, the insurance company ended up paying $150000 out to the owner.

he didn't want to accelerate fearing he may spin the wheels and get the car impounded and crushed...

shame to see a nice car die this way.
