I would rather a new XR8 and keep the change.
Knowing HSV and their output claims the XR8 is probably more powerful anyways if measured at the wheels.

Yeah that or a new Supercharged VF GTS & a couple of rental properties.
But the guy was silly enough to list some of the cheaper cars he would buy if it sells it, including a F430 Ferrari Comments like that are hardly going to help sell it. |

$900,000 and it doesn't even have A/C or a stereo lol
I'd take that $900,000 and buy an EA Falcon with a 3sp for $500, and then spend the last $899,500 on high class escorts. Which is probably why I don't have $900,000. Last edited by Franco Cozzo; 12-04-2015 at 03:51 PM. |

Those links are 2 years old!
That's the car that Pickles auctioned off a few years ago.It was owned by a bogan from Queensland who threw money around like a drunken sailor buying muscle cars-the only problem was that when his business went belly up all his toys got repossessed and sold.

As Morexbs said, those links are 2 years old.
What the article doesn't mention, is that the car sold for much lower, and also included another car (i think maybe the GTS/R or a walky) so not the true value. Personally though, i'd buy it if i had that spare coin to throw around, but i like rare cars |

One of my customers just picked up a 2002 Model for $8000.00. Old mate just got retrenched in the mines, Mum up the duff as well. Had $20,000 on it, dropped to $17,000 then $15,000 then $12000. Customer offered $8000 folding stuff and he took it.......

Phase 3 prices were pushed up by criminals via an auction scam which then got genuine buyers hooked in and the prices have now dropped back to high but far more realistic levels
yes I think this monaro's price is over the top but it's 1 of 1 available and is unique spec so definitely worth good coin to someone although what $ is achieveable I'm not sure. some people need to get over their own bias re ford v holden when commenting |

The story on this Monaro reads very similar to the Phase 4. Going to build it for racing, do a small production run for the public which never happened. There were four Phase 4's, one production model and one that went racing as a rally car. This Monaro, 2 raced at Bathurst and won, they built two prototypes of which Holden kept one and one is sold. Everyone says how the Phase 4 is worth squillions. There's no reason this car couldn't be worth the same as a Phase 4 considering the similarities in their production. You've got to admit the stories for both are very similar.

the end price tag was in excess of $320,000 each, you know that it's not going to sell. to much work went into the hand built stroked LS1 and custom made holinger box.
