Default Crazy Ebay fees for XAGT Coupe

Why would you sell your car here I wonder with the costs & the risk of winning bidders dropping out? I would think it would do better at a Shannon's or Lloyd's classic Action with other rare muscle cars. Regardless, it is a beautiful example. Half there luck.

some cars prove hard to sell for a number of reasons....others are NOT true to their description or at the very least can be questioned

It's a cut n' shut/shunt, so you're getting 50% of a XA GT RPO, albeit the better bit.

Nobody is paying that.

The vendor is a delusional nutter, and has put some ridiculous reserve on it. So people are just taking the **** trying to see what the reserve is. Even if you go past the reserve, you can simply retract the bid quickly.

As to why its on eBay, well that's the problem with psychotic delusions. He believes his pile of junk is so desirable that cashed-up buyers will get into a bidding war.

Just a thought. Many old cars, coupes especially, have new quarters, floors and other large sections cut & replaced. Saying that, I wouldn't pay much for this example with this available for less. https://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/d...gType=Showcase

Serious?

Whilst that is a nice car, a converted 6cyl Falcon 500 is not a matching numbers (JG66 block atleast) RPO Coupe no matter how well the resto was done in my opinion.

Appreciate that & it is a very valid point. I was thinking more for the buyer who wants to step into a nice clean Coupe for the weekend without money & fuss. They are becoming very hard to source these days.

Looking at the owners description I reckon its had a half cut where the cut has probably been across the floor above the diff then along the inside sills to the door opening, thus the new sills. The fact that it now has a sunroof I would presume the whole roof has been part of the operation, which would mean the front half join will be the front screen pillers.
