I know its a Dowling release but he does quote Toyota boffins and some dealers are saying they are advanced in discussions.
Gotta love this quote " Following record sales of full-size, V8-powered US pick-ups – which outsell electric cars in Australia – Ford was recently busted...........Now Toyota – the world’s biggest automotive manufacturer and Australia’s top-selling car brand for the past 17 years – is exploring the possibility of introducing the iconic Toyota Tundra pick-up. " “We continue to study the Tundra as a possible future model of interest to introduce to the Australian market. If we are able to make a business case to introduce the Tundra in Australia, Toyota will make announcements in due course.” "However, other well-placed Toyota dealer sources are optimistic it will happen, and say Toyota Australia has been working on the program for some time." https://www.drive.com.au/news/top-se...-to-australia/ |

On topic, be interesting if the Tundra gets here. Though engines will be interesting. Might get the new Landcruiser diesel for it. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk

Unlike F150, Toyota struggles to sell anywhere near the volume of tundras it would like to
so yeah, why not do a Factory RHD and add some good export sales, maybe with LC300 TD V6. |

We have been hearing this story every six months for years and years now. I guess if they keep reporting it, perhaps one day it will come true?

Don't worry, Toyota are studying the market.
Apparently if you study the market long enough, you look like you are doing something and never make a wrong decision, because one is never made.

I wish they'd just build a 300 series in a single and dual cab ute to replace the LC70 already!

There was talk in the media several weeks ago of a RHD Tundra with the LC300 power plant. Questions were raised of taking sales from the LC70 and how the LC70 is probably the only vehicle with the V8TD etc etc. Don’t know where it will end up.

How much longer do you think the LC70 will be around for?

Man the previous model was much nicer. Theres a couple of the older models here, they definitely look pretty good. Looks better than a current Ram/silverado imo.
