you could buy me a black 1969 mustang mach1

or failing that since you have had the stang try some aussie muscle, i'd go the XA coupe.

I like Paul's thinking although it is flawed. What you should do is send that cash down to me and sleep easy at night knowing you've helped me out immensely.

imo things would be sweet if I owned a STANG and a FALCON coupe. that would be my line of thinking...... depends what you'd enjoy owning more though i 'spose, 'coz you shouldn't be buying a car for investment purposes. you'd buy land!

I bought a flat and a XA GT 16 months ago, I would have been much better of with 5 or 6 GTs instead of the flat (if you could find em) . Better than money in the bank!

Fatty
Are you telling me you would get better resale out of your GT then you would with you flat??
But at least you don't have to spend $80 or more every time you come home , as you would everytime you wanted to go for a nice drive!!!!
But I can see you with 5 or 6 gt's. $10 says you wouldnt have bought the EL GT!

How much could you get from selling a '72 Falcon Hardtop, compared to a '72 Mustang, both in top condition?

How much to buy a pre 'beatified' XA, compared to the same mustang?

I think you'd pay more for a pristine fastback mustang, compared to the same vintage hardtop falcon (Genuine JG33's excluded).

If you can get a reasonably priced fastback mustang, I think go for it!

EDIT... if there's that much spare mulah... I can be a consultant!

the GTA is a nice ride, had a chance to swap my cooper s for a original 390 car the same as that but painted in black with a custom purple pearl design on it, i was keen but the other party whimped out and wanted me to take his 68 coupe.

From someone who owns a Yank ponycar (AMC Javelin, not Mustang), I'd say get the Falcon coupe. A lot less made .. in GT form hold their price better than most Mustangs (except Shelby's and fatsback GTs). I always regret selling my XB GS coupe .. and my VH Changer.
