Default Reasearching your car

i remember somebody on here sayin they were going to buy a used car and and there was a Ford site that you can put your engine number in and it will tell you if for example to find out if your car is actually a genuine XR6/8 etc anybody know of that site?

Not sure if it helps. Go to the RTA website, follow the links to

www.rta.nsw.gov.au/myrta/myrecords/index.html

Click onto the Myrecords and follow the prompt... Once you have logged on you can put the rego and VIN of any vehicle and check it's info..

The site was called "MyFord". Its currently being reconstructed and will be back later this year. Its actually part of the Ford Aust database.

I registered on My Ford, but it doesn't give me any extra details about my car.
Maybe it doesn't work if you own an ex-fleet/govt vehicle?

It tells you stuff like when it was registered, colour, transmission, what model etc.

Yeah I knew that but I don't get ANY details about mine at all.
when I put the VIN in, it took me back to my main page.

I had that exact same problem, I must have put the VIN in about 5 times and it just wouldnt work.
