Default A life long obsession with ford over for now!

Okay maybe it's only put on hold....

I've just bought an original big block 68 SS Camaro... I know this probably wont excite too many of you guys. mmmmm, 454 cubes! Not much work got done today.... :P

I have some big plans for it, and am ery excited.

She will be home next week hopefully, pics will come soon.

This is exactly what i plan to do it. The paint, the interior, the stance, the wheels... i love this car.!!!!!!!!!

SO, AM I MAD? Wanting to feed a 450hp monster? P.S - i have a work car for everyday driving.....

Check my thread in the spare parts section, i gotta sell some things to make this get on the road sooner rather than later.

Ditch the work car then unfortunately you will have to keep driving it all the time. I know it may be a sacrafice, but sometimes we have to make these sacrafices.

Welcome to the "Pony Car" club! These things are great fun and practical (i.e. smaller, cheaper to run etc than a full-sized Yanky car).

Last '68 Camaro I saw was a friends, whom bought it for $9K (LHD) and it was registered for about another $1K. Factory black (original paint, 10foot car), solid, good runner (327/PG) .. a great buy

Nice car recent import? At least the value can only go up not down like a new car. The 1st gen Camaro's are the most collectable as well.
Here is a of pic I took in 2001 at Pomona & a wrecking yard in Grants New Mexico which had the fast backed 351 clev pwrd mustang for a $1,500 but said he would take less if I brought it then & paid cash. Fairly cheap
