Yes a neighbour traded his AU2 XR8 ute with low milage onto a automaitic Nissian pulsar st with drum rear brakes. The trade in was $17 grand onto a $25 Grand small car. I told him the car belongs in the Glen Iris lawn bowls car park. But he justifies the trade as fuel costs & warranty. Each to there own I suppose.

Back to the topic, yes yes it's a lot of work blah blah, but if you are going to use a drivetrain like that, put it in something *interesting* like a BMW Isetta 4:

True. Would have cost about 3 times or more of that starting price to build that, not to mention the time and effort.

A whole lot of effort would have gone into that. And it looks quite tasteful.

So have I at a car show years ago at the Melb showgrounds. This cars been around a few years & a lot of engineering has gone into it.
but $50 grand is a lot of money but I would think the cost to build it was very high.

someone has put a hell of a lot of effort into that car, although i don't agree with their origional 'donor' car choice they have done a good job at building a car.

also i like what has been done with the interior, notice there is NO monster tacho
