Well i'll be going but I wont be entering my car (VL) because I just like being a spectator and I dont really want to run the risk of some drunken tool running up my *** in his Blown VN SS.

Not going. I'm heading down the coast. Not really interested either. I reckon they would get more people if they held it a week later though as a lot of Canberra people head down the coast for that week.

If I can get the time off work I'll be heading up. Doubt I'll take my car though.

Entered again as per the norm.

There every year with around 5 to 8 other cars, in the same camp.

Good event, but yes, as others do state, are beginning to have issues with the 'peanut' factor that go there. TOO many idiots.

But we'll be there, toying with the idea of not taking the cars though. Sometimes its not worth going to a car show if its going to be hurt....

Mind you, I do remember what the last er looked like after he had thrown a bottle cap at a mates car as we drove past.

Yer its a great event, except all the drunken ideots. I love a beer but i go for the cars not the drink. You can drink anytime. I think they should make it an alcohol free event. Would love to go again but probably can't afford it untill 2007. Looking forward to it though. Lol. I think it s all over powercruise, for spectators anyway. I went to the Brizzy powercruise though and it rained most of the time which probably wrecked it.

Won't be going this year.... It costs a bit to head across from Perth and I've been to the last couple. Promised myself I won't go back without my car! It's still in bits but should be ready for Jan 2007. Plan on driving it there, giving it a hiding and driving it home - the ultimate endurance test!!

Mate Summernats is a HUGE event!

Last couple of years its attracted over 120,000 people each year.

Stacks of the BEST cars in Oz.

Plenty of hotty females too..... :newangel:

Downsides: Few idiots, and over priced grog, but its a grouse weekend ;)

Don't forget to pack your sunscreen coz it can get ferken hot up there!

I've been giong with a friend as a trader for about 15 years. In the last few events they cleaned up a lot of real drunken dickheads that only came with other dickheads for trouble & have turned it into a better event. I'am sure you will enjoy it.

In the wilder days you would see some 15-20 year olds come up with others get drunk, sever sunburn & some got bashed see them Sunday walking around with black eyes or broken bones.Squirt cars with brake fluid out of water guns, Throw buckets of water at cars that did'nt do burnouts throw rocks & potatos at the Sat night show girls.
