"nice car... whats the retail on one of those things?"
"more than you can afford pal, ferrari.." "smoke em.. " (cue: Saliva - Superstar) out: :sm_drool: In real life, a Supra that was modded like that one was suppose to be would have walked all over that Ferrari too. Yes the movie was craptacular but we havent had many car movies lately. Bad ones are better than none. e |

Although I can definately appreciate the qualities of a TT Supra having owned one, I'm not sure many around here will appreciate it in the same way..lol. I didn't like the movie that much at all, but if I had to pick the most memorable scene in the movie it would be the end scene between the supercharged wheel standing Dodge vs the RZ.

Another great movie with an incredable car chase is "Ronan" with Robert De Niro, Jean Neno and Audi A8's doing some panel adjustment on sundry pugs, benzs and more.

Synopsis From the makers of both runaway hits The Fast and the Furious and its sequel, 2 Fast 2 Furious, comes the new installment in the motion picture saga built on speed: The Fast and the Furious 3. In this adrenalized new story, set in the sexy, underground world of Japanese drift racing, the newest and fastest customized rides go head-to-head on some of the most perilous courses ever seen. Shaun Boswell has always been an outsider. A loner at school, his only connection to the indifferent world around him is through illegal street racing- which has made him particularly unpopular with the local authorities. To avoid jail time, Shaun is sent out of the country to live with his uncle in the military, in a cramped apartment in a low-rent section of Tokyo. Now officially gaijin, or outsider, Shaun tee is even more shut out in a foreign land of strange customs and codes of honor. But it doesn’t take him long to find the action when he and a new, American bud discover the underground world of drift racing-a deadly combination of brutal speed on a heart-stopping course of hairpin turns and switchbacks. In the land that gave birth to most modified racers on the road, the simple street race has been replaced by the ultimate pedal-to-the-medal, gravity-defying automotive challenge.. .pushing the envelope of what’s possible. The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift is produced by Neal Moritz and directed by Justin Lin. CHEERS !!!

All of these 'movies' sucked... and they encourage ricer dickheads...
Good car movies include: -Bullitt -Mad Max (Of course!) -Duel -Blues Brothers (I almost bought a 74 Dodge Monaco once!) -Taxi (the French version, not the retarded American rip off) -The Italian Job (again, not the retarded American rip off) Actually there's heaps but The Blind and The Tasteless would not be one of them .

Does anyone here remember Gumball Rally? it has Raul Julia (from the addams family movie) driving a red ferrari 265 gt daytona? against a blue 427 cobra from new york to long beach, california? Surely someone has seen it? anyone?!?!! It definately has to go down as one of the best car movies, especially the scene where they are racing through the river to longbeach, my god the sound of the cobra is good in the film, and that ferrari!, is something else.

The Fast and the Furious is a great movie. Laugh a minute. Floor pans falling out when you hit the naaawwwwzzzzz, 15 minute quarter miles, naaaawwwwzzzz exploding, front wheel burnouts, double clutching on upshifts, SR20s in Hondas, it's a crack up. They had one decent car in the movie, then decided to total it. What a waste. |

Why waste 900 Horses of Detroit Muscle? Its not fair damn it. Also for the love of god I hope the Mustang with the RB25/26 isnt used in that new F & T F. I think I would throw up hearing the sound of a RB in a Mustang when a 302 should be making the sound. |
