As the title suggests, is it possible to fit a BA dash into an AU?

Not sure , but why would you wanna bother , the AU is much nicer imo , the newer ba/bf dashes have gone too square again imo , starting to look like a rav4 or a volvo inside ! .

BA/BF/SX/SY Territory dash scratch way to easily ... and so do the door trims.
I guess anything is possible though ... but getting the dash to line up with the doors is goign to be a pain and might look silly. Then you have the get the BA/BF ECU and BEM as far as I know to get the dash and ICC to work at all ... I'd hate to think what and ICC is going to cost though ... and getting it coded from Ford as well. Too much off a pain to do .... would be cheaper to buy a 2nd hand BA ...

not to mention you would need to replace the door trims with BA units... and that leads to seating issues as the BA seats have been moved in towards the centre of the car slightly meaning that you could have issues with BA trim rubbing on the AU seats due to position.

Ok. Thats kool. Just a thought anyways... i think the main issue would be with the BEM accpeting the remote locking signal from the AU.... to much effort... just looking at dash upgrade options... so far it looks like it will be the fairmont dash...
