Default Lowering

I have done a few searches on this so far and have noticed everyone seems to say sl in front and ssl kings in the rear. Iv been out today and got some quotes and have one for $620 which includes SL all around (ask for sl in rear?) and new shocks in the rear but not the front, it also includes a wheel alingment. The thing I couldnt find from doing a search was what people where paying to get this done, does this price sound ok?

On another noted picked up a pacemaker system and 2.5' exhaust from a au xr6 for $200 today

The car the lowering will be going on has t3 kit and 19" wheels.

I wouldn't go lower than SL - you will scrape with them, soo SSLs will only be worse. There is no price difference between SL & SSL anyway, so ask for what you want.

Prices should be:
Front springs $140
Rear Springs $140
Rear shocks (monroe Gas) $130
Front shocks (monroe Gas) $260
Wheel alignment $40
Labour to fit shocks springs - between 2 & 3 hours (I can do it in 2.5) @ $80 per hour.

If you go Konis or bilstiens etc, double the price of the shocks, roughly.

Thats a very decent price for rear shocks and springs all round..
its usually about $495 for just the springs..

and the exhaust sounds tops lol.. well done.

once lowered it should have a pretty mean stance.. should be a good height, post pics when its done

The main concern is will I need front shocks as well? If not I might go ahead and get it lowered. Ill have to see how it sits tomorrow when it comes out of the shop

If you go SLs in front, you won't need front shocks, unless the current ones are stuffed. Shocks are only good for around 40,000km, so if you've done more than that, and they are still the same shocks that left the factory, now would be the time to replace them. The labour shouldn't cost any extra - just the parts.
