Sucks to see, Chris - never good to see a beautiful car damaged like that.

My rear bar sported some Falcon-induced damage and they repaired it, rather than replace it, though you have the extra cost of multiple panels, and metallic paint.

Sorry to hear it mate, time to get all those stone chips removed though... :togo:

man I can't believe how little damage was done. Those little Focus are built Ford tough!
I saw it happen (I was next to you guys turning right in the red BMW and my mate behind me in the black Xr6T)
Considering the massive caved in boot from the car in front I'd say the focus is just damn tough!

I'd say the other car (old mazda 323 / for meteor sedan wasn't it?) would be an easy write off.

Goodluck getting it fixed mate. Chin up, it happens to the best of us.

the car seemed to have held up really well, normally its the car that got rearended that escapes the most damage. Didnt think a small car could handle it so well. Mates laser totally caved in after a similar accident

It'll prob cost more than $1K just for the paint repair, its not everyday car paint and being a dark color with pearls/metalics and aged(a little) it wouldnt be all that easy to color match, make sure they dont just paint it to the edges and hope you dont notice the color differance... many pro's do that!

It's at that point where you'd be debating whether or not to claim on insurance - if it was just your car you were paying for - as far as losing No Claim.

I guess combining the cost of the other vehicle, it will be worth it though...

Hope it comes back better than new, stonechip less!
