Default I thought you only did 4 Litres!!!!!

I was at Calder Park a couple of weeks ago and saw a Bright Blue XD ute with your sticker on the windscreen. At first I didn't think much of it until it started up. My first reaction was,"WHAT THE ......... is that????" It sure didn't sound like a 4 litre to me. So please explain, cause I have never heard an XD sound like that!!!! Is that car owned by an AFF member and if it is, are they going to the Heathcote meet??, cause it would sure turn a few heads.

No joke its an XD "slider", he was just giving it heaps on that night. Hope he figures out how to hook it up cause he seemed to have a bit of trouble with wheel spin of the line.
It has to be one of the meanest sounding Fords I have ever heard!!!!
Hopefully he will be heading back out to calder soon, cause he hasen't been there for the last two weeks.
XDSLIDER-when are you heading out again???????

Thanks for the comments and the fact that you noticed my ute, I had a lot of people coming up to me that night, asking what was in it. The reason you haven’t seen me at Calder since is, I am overseas at the moment.

I am only new at the sport of Drag Racing but with the help of both Brenden and Jim I have been able to piece together a car that is a good starting point for my new hobby. As you said I have a bit of work to do on my take off, but that will come with experience and also changing the car around a bit.
After some helpful suggestions from Brenden in the thread “All About That RED EB” and also advice from Jim on my car setup, I think some faster times will soon follow.
If you were wondering what was in the ute, go to the V8 Cleveland section you will find my engine details in the “Engine Combo Thread”.
If you see me at Calder come over and say ‘Hello’, and I will give you a first hand look at my baby
You should see me back at calder in the next week or so.

You are good at making very few appearances at Calder SLIDER, I saw your run last time you where out a few weeks ago, but haven't seen that ute since.
I was at Calder on Friday night and saw Brendens car run a couple of 13.3's but there was no ute!?!?!?! Although Brendens car is very impressive to watch, it dosen't have the strip presence that yours does.

Where have you gone, has something gone wrong?!?!?

Welcome to the world of drag racing, where not everything goes the way you want it to. As I said in my post above, I am only new in drag racing and I still have a few things to learn.

Due to unforseen mechanical error I have been unable to drag for the past few weeks. I am hoping that by mid may I will have the beast running again.

Although there is a new weapon in the Mock Stable that will cause concern for big V8 owners. Brendens' previously Supercharged White XR6 has had a change in the form of a ball bearing turbo. Whilst he is still in the early stages of its development, he took out the Albury AME show Horsepower Hero Comp with an impressive 540HP@ the wheels.

So if you are after a car that will have strip presence(as you put it), this white XR6, will be one to keep your eye out for.
