You can't , When you only have 1 key your stuffed .

Some locksmiths can exact duplicate the original 1 key you have / code and all , and even though then you end up with 2 keys , the ignition system/BEM still only recognises both keys as the 1 same key ( as they are identicle duplicates ) .

If you want to be able to reprogram your own keys , you need at least 2 'factory released' keys minimum that came with the car, if you haven't got 2 original keys you need to go see Ford

Sorry for the bad news .

By the way , Hi - and welcome to the ford forums :

Craig, what state are you in?
If SA, Goodwood locksmiths can help you out, they specialise in automotive locks and transponder systems

A guy at Dandenong Market cuts keys for the AU's and codes the key for $70 !!! .You get key,cut and coded all for $70 .
There are two different people that cut keys but he is up near the vegies end.He has a white van and is there on Tuesdays and Fridays.
It is a straight copy of your key, so you have two keys that are identical. You can't use them both to program a third key, not that you really need to.
