Bloody awesome vid of a 350Z with a 20b rotor on low boost smoking up 22's for a dvd. The 350 is one of my fav cars on the market. Yummy

What a shame they put a rotary in a nice 350Z ... they ruined a decent vehicle there.
Looks like someone eith too much money and not enough sense.

What so instead they have to -

Rebuild engine replacing almost everything
buy turbo's (2x lots of piping and not much space)
custom tune / new ecu
do everyting as a one off, probably one of the first conversions of this type.
get new gearbox to handle new torque

or

Adapt bellhousing t/s new engine
Install stock 20B
Single turbo install with plenty of room
Do microtech installation that has been done plenty of times before
no gearbox replacement as engine probably produces similar torque (but heaps more power).

Seems like they know what they are doing as the upgrades to the 6 cyl would cost a bomb. The amount of power extracted from a stock 20B can be phenominal and it has been done before. As for ruining a decent vehicle - more power - probably less weight (than a turbo'd 6 cyl version anyway), and a truly individual car, I would say it has not done anything close to ruining it.

you also forgot to add the money he would have got for the z motor would have paid for the rotory anyway

Sure is, the VG30 is a better engine than any rotor, very much an underestimated engine IMO.
By the way a clevo can do a better burnout on slicks

VG30 will not fit in almost anything shy of an F250, they are a very wide engine, let alone with turbo's hanging of the side. In a 300ZX they have about 10mm clearance of the body and that engione bay is at least as wide as a falcon / commys.

What?? is that supposed to be a justification of the rotor?
VG30 is meant to be there, and is way better than the crap-o-buzzo he went and put in it.
What has not fitting in anything shy of an F250 got to do with anything, the VG30 fits. fullstop........

my gf has a 13b n/t S4 totally stock

The non turbos are gutless and are only quick if you drive em quick....good down shifts..up shifts..correct gear etc etc

handles really well and the rotary just keeps wanting more revs...its redline is at 8000 but i punched it past that and it kept going

with a nice zorst and a little bit of boost it would be sweet as

One thing people are forgetting.... Weight distribution

If he got rid of the bling, put some nice 18's with some Carrera Cup slicks on, I doubt you will find many street V8's keeping up with it around a circut...
