Pack of 10 LED's from Autobarn cost me less than $10 & they plug straught in to the existing bulb holders.

I don't yet know why it's dull in the tacho area.

At a guess, I would say the bulb is installed the wrong way around. If you can get 10 LEDs for $10 total from Autobarn, definitely do that. I make my own, and the LED alone costs $3.95 for blue (from Dick Smith)! Plus I then have to modify the bulb holder etc to make it all work.

Has anyone got a link to these LED bulbs? Or a part number?

You will need 3 red leds so the needles & red zones show up better.

if u make ur own, just reuse the original ones, cut the bottom end off, stick the led feet through and solder them to the contact points and screw the holder back into its place ... easy

Here is the box the LED's came in. The part No. on the end of the box is:47854 & written under the part No. is T5 WEDGE. The pic shows the bulb removed from the bulb holder & the LED that plugs straight in. The LED's are 12v.

So when u chuck the back lights in to make them blue, is there another globe for the needle??

Cause that blue background looks unreal, Then with a red needle, That would make it awsome. And this can all be done by pulling out the whole facia?

Here's mine , i just modded them myself as in JC's doco, although i used 900mcd leds . Looks a treat , the red needles are still visible allthough really dark , i gotta get some glow in the dark paint for the needles / either that or i will addd some small white led's to shine onto the face of the cluster to light the needles, as i wanna keep all the light blue ( i dont want red/purplish light ) .

I have defused the bulbs since these pics , so there is no hotspots anymore either. cheers .

Hey
I've managed to get the cluster out, now regarding the wire plugs when taking them out in order to replace the bulbs is there any order in which the plugs should be removed or replaced? And is there any bulbs I in the cluster I should avoid replacing?

Thanks a lot!
