Default New AU FALCON Gauge Twin Pod/Mount Now Underway

The product is now under way guys. It will fit the 2 inch gauges or 52mm.

The gauge mount will be similar shape to the FPV style with the 2 seperate cups. The gauge mount will replace the section under the ash tray (the section where you throw your keys, smokes etc) Not sure what you call it?

The gauges will be facing up on a angle towards the driver.

There are no pictures of the product as yet, but will keep you guys informed of the progress.

Cheers

Aly

I'm pretty interested too. This will save me butchering the console for boost gauges etc.

What type of guages can you put in there? My dash already has the 4 usual ones covered, so what would the other two be used for?

Would it not be dangerous to have guages mounted that low which might take away the attention of the driver from the road??

The Qld Modification Booklet states

Accessory gauges
Any additional internal or external gauges must:
• not interfere with the field of view of the driver
• not produce glare to the driver
• not have the possibility of an oil pressure line, or
similar, breaking with pressurised fluids spraying
onto the windscreen
• be fitted in such a way to reduce the risk of injury to
the vehicle occupants or pedestrians.

UPDATE

We have made a first proto type, unpainted, just to give you guys an idea of what it will look like. It will be painted the same as the console. Once finished we will have them available through ebay for you to purchase. Hopefully mid November - Ready for Xmas (kiss me bum) time
This is the only place suitable for fitment of such a pod. For some not ideal, but we didnt design the AU.

Cost wise will depend on labour, plastic, paint, Laser cutting?

Your feedback will be appreciated

Aly & Brian

Thanks to Whoosha for not being home so we could steal his console out of his AU

:monkes:

What do you guys/gals think of these badges that we have been working on

I have a few Q's, one is are the gauges going to be any good in that location and are they more as a gimmick factor than use ? the way i see it down there they would serve no real purpose as you would need to take your eyes from the road to look down to that spot and in a sense make them more a show factor than any real use.

Secondly how is it you can use the fpv logo without permission on a product to sell or have you changed this symbol enough to work around these issues.

Not trying to be a stick in the mud but just asking the questions re my thoughts.
