Tough choice, mate. I don't think the BA stands out enough, to be honest. It would rely on a nice set of wheels too much to look any different to a BA Falcon. The extra safety and base power would be nice, as well as the modern interior. I'd still consider one but I really do appreciate the AU lines a lot more.

i agree Dauphin, i was thinking about all the FPV stuff i could get for a BA. and the fact i could have a real dual exhust!! however i really only need to upgrade my interior to tl50 and do the brakes( terry). if i buy the BA its start from scratch again.

Then concentrate on what you have for the next 5 years or so. AUs look like their own line. When ya gonna make your car profile at aufalcon.com? Don't make me send you another reminder notice! We got six LWBs now.

BA.
Seriously though, I agree. Put the money into what you have.
We got the 220 for what we thought was a very reasonable price and didnt get an XR8 as we wanted something different and could see the potential of the car. We got it with money to start modifications from day one

my choice is obvious by my sig when I upgraded the AU. Definately worthwhile and at the moment they are literally giving them away. I got my G220 for same price as a fully optioned BA fairmont at the time. I threw on a set of 19" GTP wheels and she looks tops, and gets plenty of looks when I drive it around.

AMIERS, stick with a AU Fairlane or if you wanna upgrade get the LTD V8 and you won't look back or regret it! The BA LWB fairlane are nice but just doesn't cut it!

When i was looking for my ride at the time, i was looking for a T3 TS/E and couldn't fine manual one. But when i saw the TL50 in the flesh in the yard, mate it had class, styles and performance to match. The car was on it own in body styling! Don't regret one bit.

Here some old photo from the day i bought it. The car has change a bit since then!

And Dauphin i will post some new photo up soon on aufalcon.com.au.

Well if you want T-series rim then go to www.wheelking.com.au and they have it there. Stick with the AU and you'll stand out of the crowd!

I'd have to agree here, I had the choice between a BA (the BF wasn't out then) LTD but opted for the AU, the BA/BF just doesn't look distinctive enough, looks like a dressed up Falcon from the front and only marginally better from behind, Damn it even uses Falcon tail lights (the first Fairlane / LTD to do so) a case of major penny pinching on Fords part.

That BA Fairlane is very, very impressive. For such an uninteresting colour, it has come up really well.

Guess there would be more than one black TL50 in WA. Had personel plates (didnt notice what they said) and big wheels. So maybe you have some competition

I really like the look of the BA Fairlane but I think it looks too similar to the standard Falcon, whereas the AU Fairlane looks different.

Today I was at the lights and there was a BA/BF Falcon next to me and I saw the Ghia badge next to the side blinker and thought thats a nice looking Fairmont Ghia. It was not till it was in front of me, I saw the Fairlane badge on the boot. It was still a nice looking car though.
