Someone posted this vid a couple of weeks ago. It hardly has anything to do with tax-payers money. The car would have been serviced at some local garage and the mechanics would have taken the chance to do this. I really doubt anyone in the service is stupid enough to do it.

I wouldn't have thought Ford Dealers would do any work on Holdens.

Why would the cops put any energy into finding out who did it? I would think there's nothing they can do to him.

Possibly a VY/Z that is being de-commissioned. Might have already been handed over to the gov' auction department, and is in the process of having its gear removed.

Either way, it's a good innocent joke. No real damage to anything, no one's safety endangered..

NO ONE'S SAFETY ENDANGERED..... are you kidding? if that car had come off the hoist it would have been all over for the driver, ever seen a car jump off a dyno? this would have ended the same.
PLUS the cops have a hard enough time earning respect from the public, things like this tell teenagers that its ok to....
1. hoon and
2. act like a tool and think that its socially acceptable.

In my workshop If I caught one of my mechanics doing this, basicly his world would end. Its stupid, dangerous and not funny at all. I know i sound a bit high and mighty but i see guys get injured all the time from doing stupid ****, without going out and purposely doing something like this.

From what it looks like to me, the car is parked in position on the hoist, but not raised, and has all four wheels on the ground. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Still absolutely STUPID workplace behaviour !!

If someone was hurt the owner and driver would have been pursued & prosecuted by Workcover.

Last time i checked cop cars weren't coming out with lift kits installed, at the 10 second mark look at the gap between the wheel arch and the car, its raised so that the wheel spins just touching the ground, all this car had to do was rock a bit on the hoist the wheels would have grabbed and it would have plowed into the wall.

As said before, either way its stupid. Hope they get caught, given a lame slap on the wrist, then laugh about it with their mates. But that is a whole other post!!!!!!
