I've just received an E-Toll transponder and want to stick it on the windscreen behind and above the rear view mirror.
In my car there is a tinted/shaded section on the glass in that spot. Curious as to whether anyone has stuck a transponder onto that tinted area - actually I'm even more interested to know whether it will function properly? |

well if they are anything like the ones we have in melbourne you won't have a problem. I have mine in the same place you want to place yours and it works fine, I have even had it go off after leaving it in the centre console. I am pretty sure they would be the same device since we can use our one interstate.

Have to put it below the rear view mirror, you can just see it when driving...

It will work. I have mine mounted on the dot matrix bit above the rear view mirror so you can't see it from outside.
It even went off in the driver's side map pocket once.

I have mine in the same position and it works fine, I have even had it go off when it was in the glove box.

I found they work well in the dash top compartment in my Territory (under the lid) ... not even attached to the window ... so that's a good thing.
I have mind hidden behind the rear vision mirror on the passenger side ... out of my sight.
