Default Bleeding brakes - Ford manual contradiction

Hi all,

Been trying to bleed my brakes. I have found a contradiction in the Ford Repair Manual. In section 2-3 it says to bleed from shortest line to longest line. In section 20-23 it says to bleed from longest to shortest. So which is it? I always thought it was longest to shortest hyraulic line.

Furthermore, I have gone through about 2L of brake fluid and still keep getting air bubbles. Anyone had this much of a problem before?

Short to long.

Id be checking for loose fittings/nipples on all lines with that much fluid going through (look for a leaky caliper/wheel cyl too as air will suck in there too). Are you sure youre doing it right, apart from short to long, long to short?

you should start to bleed from the furthest point from the master cylinder. so you would start from LHR to RHR to LHF to RHF. although there is only one nipple for both rear brakes so you would cut out RHR obvously

as above. pull back the the little rubber ends on your wheel cylinders on the rear brakes. if fluid comes out the you will have to bin em and fit new ones.
also chect that the hose you are putting around the nipple isint too big. i have done that before and you just keep getting air bubbles.

Just for clarification, I wrote short to long, I had that ar5e about.

no excuse, I have no idea what I was thinking.
