Hi everyone. For last couple of weeks, I am looking for these pbr brake caliper decals. I can't find any. There was a guy used to sell them on ebay. Can't see him anymore. Anyone knows where can I get them from or where can I get them made from? By the way I tried couple of places they said these decals should made out of thicker heat proof material for the calipers.
Cheers Kaan

Mate, I have had my local signwriter make me plenty of brake decals. Have put them on everything from GT 6 pots to Porche track cars.
$10-$20 dollars a set roughly. None of them have melted off. My signwriter uses the normal vinyl stuff he normally puts on truck bonnets etc. Told me engines get hot and when crossing the Nullabour in 40' heat the bonnets get very hot. Your call though.

I work for a sign company - as a graphic designer. I would recommend a minimum of an avery 800 vinyl, with 900 being the better option.
Decals such as this can be produced very very cheaply. For longer life request a vehicle grade clear laminate - which should stop any harsh fluids or heat destroying the film. try finding a copy of the logo from www.brandsoftheworld.com and giving that to the sign company - should make the decals even cheaper! I would expect no more than 10$ for 2 decals like that... |
