Default T3 Accquisition

Good morning everyone,

I've just been pondering something lately. It has come to my attention that honest examples of a T3 usually sell for around the $30k mark. Which I think is fair, given the car they are. However redbook lists the value of these as a meagre $15k. Now I'm aware redbook is typically not the guide of choice for car loan lenders, apparently it is Glassguide.

Now I'm just wondering if it is possible to purchase one of these cars using a personal/car loan given the apparent massive worth/price differences. These T3's are getting old and most lenders don't look at anything more than 5 years old for car loans. Of course, there is always the alternative of saving an X amount and contributing, but I prefer to use that method for a much older vehicle.

So to all the T3 owners out there, how did you all go about it? As I would prefer one of these to replace my XR8 over anything newer.
