Default Brake Pads

G'day
Just got back from getting a quote for new front discs (slotted) and brakes from local guy. While I was there he was telling me about a problem when using Bendix CT pads (old Advance Pads) with slotted discs. Apparently the Bendix rep told him that the new pads as they wear release some kind of compound which eventually fills up the slots in the discs and causes the brake pedal to vibrate when the brakes are applied. This wouldn't just apply to Au's but any car using Bendix CT pads with slotted discs.
Cheers :

Now thats some good info. About 1000ks after I got my slotteds with ultimate pads, it started to feel like the were warped again. Maybe I could clean out the slots, and see if it goes any better?

I use slotted on mine with EBC greenstuff pads, the pads were the best upgrade i have done so far. Well worth the extra $$$ the only thing with them they dust real bad for the first 500kms after that they settle because when they are new the first part of the pad is only soft so it beds in to the disc surface.

i have bendix advance pads (purchased only a few months ago)
and they have shown no issues with my DBA 4000 series slotted rotors??
are you sure the CTs are a replacment and not just the lower model?

CT's and Advance are totally different pads.

Have a read http://www.bendix.com.au/index.php?m...281613041-6043
