can you say that again a bit slower for me ? Are you asking if a new ECU needs to be tuned, or can you just swap another in and go from there ?

If you swap the ECU it wont run. 2 soloutions are 1. take it to ford to have the bem reprogrammed, or 2. replace the bem with the one that came from the car the new ECU did.

you would need the keys and lock too as the bem knows the transponder key from trhe original car. easier to take it to an auto elec most can now perform a parameter reset to train the new ECU to the BEM for about $80 don't take it to ford unless you intend to take out a loan to pay for it
