how does the shifter on the 4 speed manual come out?

need an answer asap!!!

Hi, there should be a nylon bush at base of shifter that screws into gearbox, you will need to bend up locking tabs then use large shifter of multigrips to screw out whole unit (anticlockwise). Hope this helps

Be carefull when you put it back in as it will cross thread very easy, this one of the main failing points on them.
