Default Diff covers

Guys just a quick question is the diff cover replaceable?
I had a mini accident by myself, and it is going to ligthen my wallet considerably i feel.

I don't see why u couldn't replace the diff cover ,the best place would be a wreckers and some of them might not wanna separate it with the diff.

yeah the rear wheel hit the gutter, it was raining i turned,, accelerated to fast (STUPID ME!!!!!) , took a chunk off my rim and then i noticed oil dripping and had a look underneath.

Ouch! you should be able to get all the bits from a wreckers the rear cover off something that had a bent housing from a bad raer hit and a new watts link from a front end hit. good luck

Just wondering if anyone has a spare diff cover they want to sell.
tried a few wreckers and as some one posted above they won't sell it without the complete diff.

so if anyone has a broken diff and preferably in sydney.

have u tried, pick nd payless, Blacktown??
They dont really give a toot what you get your hands on. They cant be stuffed talking to you lol, so your in and out in no time.

it may also be worth getting a diff from an xr6 hp if you have only got standard forte gears in that

oh Pick n Payless is soooooo good. When I have kids im going to take them there, its like.. Wonderland.. lol.
Keeps your eyes peeled, you get some pretty decent stuff if you look around.

still no luck yet guys, i tried ford pro this morning, the guy won't sell me just the cover and says his only got a complete diff for 200.

but i'm gonna give ford a call tomrrow and see how much they'll charge : ,

then if ford is going to give me a ridiculous price then i'll head over to pick and payless and try my luck.

i'll keep you guys posted and then take some photo of putting it back together maybe it can be a diy .
