Does anyone know what the extra plug in the back of the AU2 head units is?
I was taking mine out and swapping into my wifes car when i noticed an extra square plug at the back next to the antenna plug. The only thing i can think of is that its for a cd stacker, but i thought they just had the in dash ones. If it is for a stacker does anyone know which one? any help would be great |

It could be for the amp, but it could also be for the phone kit. What colour are the wires going from the plug?

there is no wires in the plug. It is a square black plug with about 8 pins in it i think (can't remember how many)
My car has had a phone kit in it at some stage, because it has the fold out holder in the console. I suppose it could be that? |

I had normal Forte level sound and the plug you're talking about was connected in my car.
I do have the factory hands free in the centre console along with a little black box with random wires coming out of it (stamped NOKIA) and a speaker (also stamped NOKIA) under the dash. With my new head unit obviously it's no longer plugged in and I havn't noticed anything happen.. So I'm fair betting it's something to do with the factory hands free. Matt. |
