just a quick one, what does speed senitive do for a steering rack?

The faster the pump spins (supposedly the faster you are going) the less pressure and assist is put through to the rack so that it doesn't become jittery and super sensative at speed. Drive a 1970's vintage ram steer power steer car where pressure was pressure and you will see what I mean.

Spot on howesy - I once took a car from the evil side (VN) for a spin that the speed sensor was stuffed, certainly made for interesting driving at 90-100kmh!
