Default sunglass holder

Hi all, This afternoon I was trying to open my sunglass holder in my ute and got frustrated and broke it, So I was wondering how you pull the thing off so I can replace it on the weekend.

thanks

pretty sure you need to pull the whole roof lining out, it has some sort of plate on the top of it to spread the load out

Its a roofliner out job, as far as i remember. Drop the visors, the coat hooks the grab handle and it should drop down, unclip the light wires and the holder is acessed by screws from the top

If you just broke the door on it, like mine, then i reckon you could replace that while it's still in the roof?

What do you guys think?

Do the 'doors' come off easily without breaking them?

yeah, when i got my falc just the clips that hold the door in were broken. I replaced it with one from a wreck, but it's still not perfect. pretty poor design, should have been a crapload more solid. pretty easy job, no tools required.

has anyone tried a BA one... they look ALOT better... no giant hinge, they are like our ash trays, no latch just push it in and it comes down... id imagine they would use the same roof lining and mounting points...
