my wagon kit is done!!!!

after about 3 months of work i have finally finished my custom body kit for my wagon. i used 2 rear skirts off a sedan to make the rear bar and lengthend a pair of sedan side skirts. this is my 1st try at this and think ford should have releasted a wagon kit like this,or the 1 that cheif did for his car. also i must thank you guys for the ideas and tips i have got off this web site,special mention to the guys and gals that have wagons. any way enough rabbling.

i need to get a twin exhaust tip now

wow i must say for a first time job, that its a damn awesome job looks like same quality u would get from a proper body kit place like AWC or some where, good work,

should try and sell ur idea out there never know a company might take ur idea and sell it make some extra cash for u

Thats a great looking wagon. Well done on the body kit mate, like Brad said, you should look at taking orders.

On a separate note, where did you get your rear spoiler?? I'm looking to get one for my EF wagon and I like the looks of yours.

the body kit was off a series 2/3 xr sedan and all i did was lengthend the side skirts,the rear bar was a pain in the butt as it is different shape.the bar took about 250 hours of work. side skirts about 40 hours, thanks for the nice words brad.

Awesome work robjunior! Looks amazing! The rear skirt really tidies up the back of the wagon nicely. Youre right Ford shouldve released an AU2 XR wagon that looked just like that. The 300 odd hours were well spent.

Are you going to put AU2 XR wheels on to complete the 'factory look'?

i have been thinking about putting the factory wheels on,i have also been thinking about taking off the falcon badge on the tailgate and replacing it with a xr6 badge as per the sedans what do you think?

Maybe even just a debadge to clean it up, either that or go the XR6 badge.

If ford made AU XR wagons looking like this they they would have been a good seller id say looks awesome mate kudos.
But a set of AUI 17's would look better then the AUII ones IMHO

to extend the side skirts,its the dog leg part that needs to be done.you need to make them about 100-120mm longer which is done by getting your hands on some damaged skirts from wreakers,mates or wherever.on the skirts i used a good quality fibreglass+resin,and plastic filler(cant remember brand).then i cut the end off about 50mm from the end so i had somewhere to join it.i fitted the skirt from front to rear,self tappered the end piece on to find out how much extra length was needed.temperarally screwed the pieces together with some scrap plastic before removing to fibreglass and fill. hope this all makes sense,it would be easier to describe in person as pictures tell a thousand words.

excellent. having a wagon myself i find it hard to find a rear bar....as they are very limited in options. i have found a site that does BA GT style rear bars for wagons, so i will be investing in one of them to suit the T kit. well done on doing all the hard work yourself, wish i had the skill and time to do that.

who does the ba gt style rear bar?,as in my craziness i am thinking of getting a ba/f wagon and doing the same thing as i did to the au,so i will have a pair of wagons.

Yeah I reckon chuck an XR6 badge on as per sedans, and either AU2 or AU1 XR wheels to complement the look.

The rear bar must of been a to do.have you had any problems with cracking??
