Default Rusty strut mount

Hi

I have noticed my au series 2 drivers side boot gas strut has a rusty lower mount.

Any one else had this problem?

I think ill just rust kill it and get some touch up paint but it seems strange considering the rest of the car is perfect.

Well known problem mate, needs to be fixed or else you'll have to replace a lot more.

My wagon boot strut mounts have been looking a little rusty for a while. In fact it was like that while it was still under new car warranty, but I could never be bothered doing anything about it!
