LETS GIVE IT TO FORD AUSTRALIA
This is to all RSOC members, and small Ford vehicle enthusiasts. As you will all know Ford Australia is resisting bringing us the Focus RS. What I would like to suggest is that us as a band of RS enthusiasts , we let Ford know how we feel about them not making this great motor car available to us. One way is to go to the Ford web site click on” contact us” and leave your comments. The other way is to go to the customer Email site and give them your thoughts on bringing in the Focus RS, Email, customers@fordcrc.com.au It is no good just making comments on a forum among yourselves, let the right people know that’s Ford. Send them your comments, make them sit up and take notice of us small Ford enthusiasts, don’t just do it once , contact them several times the more times the better . If you wont to go the hole hog write them a letter address your letter to : The president, Ford Motor Company Ltd, 1735 Sydney Rd Campbellfield, Victoria 3061. I know this is usually a waste of time but you could always phone them on: 13FORD (133673). Have a go, lets get people power working. |

People power might work for governments, but I'm afraid it doesn't have the same effect with businesses, especially corporations like Ford. Its all about the dollars and if there isn't a market, then it ain't gonna happen.
All I can say is buy an XR5 and whenever you get any correspondence from Ford, tell them you want the RS at every opportunity. |

If you have every intention of buying immediatley they become available, then go for it. But unless the people writing letters aren't wiling to commit to a purchase, then save your breath. Ford need to see theres a market for these cars, and their investment will be returned, then theres no point just protesting, if you never have any intention of actually buying one.
I would love to see the RS here. Would I buy one, most likely no. So theres no reason for me to leave my comments. |

Thanks everyone for at least trying. We have just received a letter from Ford Europe. The production of this Focus will be limited and they have evey car that is to still roll off the production line spoken for. So looks like Australia will miss out. Maybe next time we will be included. Also for what it is worth I personally would not own an XR5 Focus, however, I would beg and borrow for the RS Focus.

See is www.chalker.com.au can bring them in after a little while ... that might be your only chance really.
