If you search on here FTG done it, a few problems with wiring and getting it to run the DVCT. Search and you will find it.

Did they?
I know they did the Typhoon into a Station wagon but i wasnt aware they had done a BA into an AU - could very well be wrong though.

Any build threads on it?

They installed a BA DOHC engine into an AU.
They ran the engine off the AU ECU (used coil pack etc)

I don't think they 'finished' it off, but they deffinately had it running.

Im pretty sure they had it running bar the DVCT part, meaning there wasnt a gain to be had over the AU engine.

it was running off the AU ECU, so yes.. DVCT wasnt used, the cams were just in 1 position.

there would have been a gain over the AU motor though, just nor as much as you would if you were running the BA ECU.

DOHC heads flow better then the SOHC

Stick with the HP motor instead. They may look worse on paper, but in the real world, the HP engines are easily the pick of the bunch. The fastest AU (TRIPOWER) had an unopened (No cam, no headwork) HP engine in his. So did FS5 (14.5), Stiddy (usure) etc etc.
