Default Brake upgrade for Capri

Hey folks, just wondering if anyone has done a brake upgrade on a V8 Capri and what you used, the brakes are actually up to the task of stopping the car that's not the issue, the issue is holding the rear from breaking out when trying to stall it to launch RPM.

I have a 9" that I will do if necessary, however the V6 diff is holding up ok, well that might also be because of the lack of traction I'm worried once she hooks up she'll snap something. The 9" can be set up no probs, it's a disc brake jobby from an XB/C from what I've been led to believe so would be more than capable of doing what needs done.

My main issue of course is to do more with the Master/Booster set up, does anyone know of something that would bolt straight in without having to re-drill or use adaptor plates. I'd like it to be as clean as possible, I have a vac pump but wanted to hold that for the XW as the motor in that will be much bigger again.

I know of guys doing Falcon convertions on them as the are 5 stud wheels.. I know yours is still 4 stud

my first thoughts these days would be looking into something Jap, 300zx?? but most if not all would mean replacing / going to bigger dia wheels

you can get Volvo 4 spots to go onto the capri strut as well & still fit under the 13's

on my clevo capri we used the std master with no booster (couldnt get rocker covers off with booster fitted) XW Kelsey discs on the front and vented drums on the rear. Pulled up no worries, used a CRS adaptor kit and apart from them supplying the wrong threaded bolts it was a good kit

I use a gemini booster with std master cylinder. XE discs on the front with hz calipers.
The rear has xd drums.
If your having isues trying to get it up on stall maby your problem is more converter than rear brakes. Higher stall converter needed maby?

Ye I only have what I was told to go by and it's meant to be a biggen, don't have a tacho hooked up just yet so only ear, once I get her rego'd I'll get it all off and have it sussed properly. I still need to run a kit through the master though but just wanted to see what others are using.

I couldn't believe no one had posted anything about before to be honest.

After trying something today pedal feel is back, however typical of an older car a new leak has exposed itself LOL, when I bought it I was told the rear right cylinder was leaking, well replaced both anyway but found it wasn't the cylinder but a threaded fitting. Anyway main thing is I know have pedal feel, now to replace the fittings, that's Monday then maybe Roadie later in the week if all's well as that's the last thing left to do. :

Brakes sorted, I wasn't sure but turns out I was right, it needed an actuator pin adjustment.
