Default Best WA Dealers

Hi, just posted this uder Contemporary Falcons, but realised this is probably the best spot - sorry for double posting!!!

I’m a new member who is just about to buy a new FG XR6 (probably the 50th anniversary edition). After over 25 years of motoring, it will be the first “new” car we’ve ever purchased, so pretty keen to get the decision right.

From reading through a number of threads, it seems that one of the most important factors in being able to enjoy our new Falcon for many years to come, is finding a dealer who has a good service centre that knows what they are doing and has good customer service. I realise that any new car has a good chance of developing issues, even early in its life, and that the best way to get through these with our sanity intact is to find a dealership that wants to help its customers.

Can anyone recommend a dealership in WA (hopefully in Perth Metro area) that they have had good experiences with in getting warranty issues fixed, or tell me of any bad experiences they've had. I’d rather buy the car from the dealer I’m going to get to do the servicing.

Thanks, AussieAV

Thumbs up

G'day mate,

I've got nothing but praise for Park ford (John Hughes) he does stand behind every car he sells, I won't go into detail but it cost them about $4000 to rectify my problem and it wasn't a warranty thing either, could have walked away easily.

+1 for McInerney. Got my FG from here, the owner (Dennis) seems to have a passion for Fords too.

I've also had great servicie from Centre Ford over the years. Have been stuffed about by Nuford too many times (bought a BA from them) so would never go there again despite them being closest to my place, i'd rather have the inconvenience and go to Centres/McInenry's.

absolute morons at park ford.. left power steering hose off my mates AU and engine bay caught fire.. write off.

smashed the spoiler on our BF XR6, refused to replace it. missed a ****** diff housing, car towed.. refused to warranty.

the list goes on with these morons.

go and see a dealer with a brain, id stand behind Titan Ford, Centre Ford and McInerny (havent been there for years tho)

Also read some of the posts under PERTH FALCONS under the Ford Car Clubs section.Personally, I have not returned my car to Centre Ford or Range Ford for any further service. Some people have told me that Lane Ford in Mandurah is great for after sales service etc.Good luck.

Titan Ford gets my vote. Service managers have a brain and they have people on the shop floor that actually know what they are doing (Don is the man on the floor)
Always looked after me.

Have bought our last 2 company XR6's from Nuford. Went there way as they are sharp on price and they provide sponsorship to a mate's race car.
Can't comment on warranty / service dramas because there haven't been any.

Thanks heaps for all the input everone!!

Went to a couple of the dealers you've mentioned, and ended up happily signing the order yesterday with Titan Ford. Was also very impressed with the guy I spoke to on the phone at Lane Ford Mandurah (Paul Smith) but just too far away for servicing (would mean 4 hours+ travelling after the drop-off and pick-up return trips).

Had initially spoken to Range Ford (prior to hitting the forums) and phoned them to say thanks but no-thanks. Said that I'd signed elsewhere because I'd spoken to some friends who'd had negative experiences with their service department in the past. For what its worth, the Sales Manager phoned back later to say he realised to late to change things, but wanted me to know that they've had a change in Management in the last 18 months or so and were working hard to improve all aspects of their customer service. Could just be PR spin, but thought I'd pass it on anyway.

Now all I have to do is wait, and wait, and wait!!!!!!!!!!

Nuford have looked after me for 4-5 years now for Service and Warranty. They have done well and seem to be very reasonable with Warranty claims, utilising common sense which seems to be lost these days.

McInerney have a very good reputation too, and have a good relationship with Black Macs Performance next door. If you are down south, i highly recommend Lane Ford.

Mr Lane himself came out to visit me when we were looking to purchase the FG and he said 'Hello Sir, i understand you have driven all the way from Perth to look at vehicles in my lot. I would like to personally thank you for taking the time to come down. Let me know if he (the sales guy) doesn't give you a good deal".

Really nice guy, felt very chuffed! I bought the FG from them...2 cars from Lane Ford now

I would recommend giving Nuford, Wangara, a BIG miss.

I was happy with them until this!
