Default Roof lining [South East Bris]

Hi guys,

I'm in SE Brisbane and I'd like to get my really saggy roof lining fixed up.

I've currently spent a lot of money fixing up things on this car (EL Falcon) and as such the budget is a little bit tight at the moment.

I can probably spend up to about $200, but to be honest I am a student and money is tight now, so I want the roof lining fixed cheaply and I cant have it falling down again in a month or two.

I think trying to fix it myself is out of the question. However, has anyone replaced the top roof section including the cardboard etc from one at the wreckers? Is this hard? Cheap?

Any recommendations on someone in this area who is not going to rip me off but also do a decent job, if I get it done professionally?

gday and welcome to the forums

you are better off and it will be cheaper to go to the wreckers and get a lining from there

I paid around $50 for one in an ea so you will prob get one for an el around $100ish i would say

hope that helps

Jason

Is it just the material that has dropped?

If so Clark Rubber sell the material and spray contact adhesive. You would surprise yourself with how easy it can be to DIY. Cost around $50 total for material and adhesive.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's just the fabric that has dropped off.

I'm not a very co-ordinated person so I am a little bit worried that I'll end up getting my hand stuck to it or sticking it on wonky or something.

=p

Well some guy on another forum said that it started dropping in one corner and he used his wife's hair spray to stick it back in place. :-p

Mine is really far gone though and it seems to be resting on my head which is a bit annoying and I assume it's going to build up static and zap me each time I get out.
