Default Anyone seen one of these before?

http://www.carsguide.com.au/site/sea...&nr=D_15091569

So much car for so little money. Apparently its an older shape Mercedes retooled by Ssangyong. I wonder if Mercedes panels could be slapped back on to make it look half decent...

Good luck getting spares for it, it wasn't an AU market car for memory so that one must be a grey import

Stick with the Lexuses (Lexii?) if you want later model Asian luxo barge stuff

I've seen a couple of these on the road. One had the badges changed to read Mercedes E350 or something and had the 3 pointed star...lol.

That is a lot of car though for the money. But I agree with Road Warrior about getting parts.

They were sold here, but only for a few years.
The earlier model look better, more benz like. latest model looks good, 5 litre V8 too.

Yeah same as the Ssanyong Jeeps that are Merc ML rip offs. Plenty of those getting around with Merc badges.

Actually I think you'll find that the Ssangyong 4x4 vehicles legitimately use Merc running gear - they were making it under licence or something

The Musso's did, my wife used to have one for a couple of years, they we're an older Merc Engine. It went alright for a AWD 4x4.

Thats a standard 1994 onwards Ford Granada/ Scorpio.........pretty sure the 300c is not based on this at all but shares a platform with the US Dodge Charger and some mechanicals from Mercedes........unless I am totally incorrect - which happens!

a previous employer used to have a Ssanyong franchise as part of its lineup, and the in house joke went along the lines of "How do you get a small Ssanyong dealership? Start with a large one!"
