Default Anyone have a template for placing Tickford and XR8 badges?

The previous owner kindly de-badged the car and I would like to put the badges back on.

Without scouting out an XR8 on the street and taking to it with my tape measure, I thought I would ask here first if anyone has made up a template for replacing these items. Its basically the badges on the Left and Right Fenders.

Unfortunately even Ford didn't have one - I have seen some real shockers in terms of badge placement and this is brand new cars we're talking about.

I would just go an eye placement (ie what looks right to you) but I will take a picture and some rough measurements of mine if you like.

Thanks - I would appreciate that

Mine are not perfect but they may give you some idea of spacing:

I feel that the XR8 bit on mine needs to be a bit more centred - the 8 sticks out too far to the front of the car. When I bought it the previous owner had actually painted the 8 red, so I removed it and replaced it with one the right colour.

This photo might be a bit more help:

my previous owner also debadged the fender badging...

i (two days ago) just re-applied the tickford wings. I lined the edge of the wings with the edge of the indicator (door jamb side) and a 50mm gap between the top of indicator and bottom of the wings.

this looks quite nice, but wouldnt suit if the xr8 was there too.

You sure Tickford didn't have a template? Doesn't sound right. I know they definitely did for the EF/L's

I did that when putting the xr8 badges on my eb. I did it in the mall so there were plenty of people around and anyone could see i wasn't tampering with the car and i never actually touched the car. Ford couldn't help me so that was my only choice.

My EA-ED workshop manual has exact measurements/diagrams, I'd be amazed if Ford stopped doing this.
