Default fuel sender in AU11 Wagon

Just a quick question.
To replace the fuel sender in an AU11 Wagon,
Do I have to drop the fuel tank?
If so, is there a diagram of this in any repair manuals?

Cheer
Richard

Yes you do. You have to undo the 2 bolts at the filler neck from underneath the car first. Then you slowly undo the bolts holding up the retaining straps. The tank will lower slowly but be careful as if you undo the bolts quickly it may fall on you. Once the tank is on the ground you have to gently tap the circular retaining lock ring to unscrew it and allow the pump assembly to be removed. You also have click lock connectors to be disconnected so you may want to do that first so you dont overstretch and shag them.Remove pump assembly then just remove the sender and wiring slowly .Assmeble in reverse. Ive dropped mine around 50 times so I am estimating it will take a first attempt 30 minutes to 50 minutes.
