Default Whining noise

Just had a leaking steering rack in my S3 XR8 replaced and now I have a whining noise, more noticeable when turning but still noticeable when driving in a straight line. I will give the mechanic a call but would appreciate your input before I do.

Did they bleed the air out? Take the cap off and do several full locks on the steering wheel.

If a mechanic replaced your steering rack, you would expect them to bleed the system.

Did you ever run out of PS oil?
If so, may need a new pump.

I used to notice a lot of whining in the AUs

Even my Territory had a similar whine.

Then she left, and its been quiet ever since.
