W/wiper arm colour

This might sound trivial, but I wanted to know when Falcons changed their w/wiper arm colour.

With Holdens, all of the early cars were chrome plated. This changed in 1968 (HK) to a satin silver "anti-glare" finish. This was to comply with upcoming ADRs aiming at reducing glare in the driver's view.

This changed again in 1976 (HX) to a matt black finish.

I'm not sure when Falcon changed from chrome to satin, but I assume it was sometime in the late 60s, around the same time as Holden.

The question I have is, when did Falcon change to matt black ? I always assumed it was either XC or at the XC 1/2 update in 1978. Problem is the sales brochures are no help, the 1978 Ford Cars brochure shows some Falcons with silver & some with matt black.

Are these mistakes or did different models change at different times.

Not sure about the matt black colour due to ADR's.
FG Falcons are gloss black.
Over time will change to matt black if neglected & exposed to the elements.

Yes, but the change away from chrome finish was due to ADRs.

This is the reason for the question. Every 1976 XC pic that I have seen (except one with a GS Pack) had silver wiper arms.

However in the XC 1/2 brochures (78 update) a few more appear, but there are still plenty of silver wipers seen.

Same with ZH Fairlanes (XC equivalent), every pic, regardless of age shows silver wiper arms.
