Default sensible bore size

hey everyone

Just wondering if 40 thou oversize is not too big on the pinto 2l, i dont wanna go too big, is this size ok? would there not be any overheating problems being too close to the water jacket, or is it safe?

also for those of you who have done this, would you reccomend spending more for forged pistons, or use flat tops? value for money, performance etc.

cheers
Ryan

You should be pretty safe up to 60thou.

Unless you are going forced induction, then forged pistons would be a bit of an overkill.
