Smile GOLD Coast manufacturer PWR Performance was crowned Australian exporter of the year

GOLD Coast manufacturer PWR Performance was crowned Australian exporter of the year at a gala function in Canberra last night.

It was one of four Queensland companies to score gongs at the 50th Australian Export Awards.

PWR manufactures radiators and other premium products for high performance motor vehicles in elite racing markets, such as Formula One and NASCAR.

Its exports grew 33 per cent last financial year with more than half of all Formula One teams and about 90 per cent of NASCAR teams now using PWR products.

This success led to PWR winning the small to medium manufacturer award last night and ultimately the Prime Minister's Australian Exporter of the Year Award.

The other Queensland winners were Australian Agricultural Company (agribusiness award); Browns English Language School (education and training award) and Oniqua MRO Analytics (small to medium services award)

"Each of these companies has made a significant contribution to national prosperity as well as to their local community," Austrade's Queensland director Cheryl Stanilewicz said
