Had a look at the new Mazda 6 over the weekend. One of the best looking mass produced cars around IMO. Pictures don't do it justice, looks very Maserati like in it's lines and curves, and not that much smaller than a new Falcon/Commodore in side (very flat boot though). No interest free finance, fixed priced servicing just what looks to be a quality car that people seem to want at the moment, with a better customer focused dealer network (so far).
Only the new Mondeo comes close looks wise (saw glimpses of the the new Mondeo in white leaving Autonexus in Melbourne on the back of a truck a few months ago, couldn't tell if it was RHD or LHD), once again, pictures didn't do that car justice either. I hope FOA have access to the new Mondeo soonish or they will be left behind again in the medium car market, the engine options Ford are likely to be offering on the Mondeo seem alot more interesting than Mazda's, along with a greater range to tech as well. If they bring out a AWD high out ST version, they may have one of the best cars on the market.
