Eureka! Well kinda :P

Here's what happened, after i hooked up the battery i found that the dash lights were working but smartlock was enabled. I then left the car, went to work and remembered that i had forgotten to ground the point behind the passenger side headlight. When i came home, i hooked the battery back up, grounded the wire but now nothing was working, not even dash lights. I then had a look at my old pics and noticed two large yellow wires coming from the negative terminal, went outside to look at my car and found that these were connected to positive :O And naturally one of them was nicely melted. Then replaced the wire and checked down te length to see if it had melted anything else, all was good.
Then i connected the battery again and still nothing. Checked my main power fuse and sure enough it was popped. Chucked in a spare and TA DA!!

Now were getting somwere. Everything seems to be in working order, samrtlock is disengaging and all lights, climate control, dash lights etc are working. Now the only thing is my starter isn't cranking and my lockoff valves aren't engaging. I'm hoping it's a common problem but shouldn't be too hard to find the source. I may make it to GOR after all ;)
