Hi All...
While not an offical club event.. thought i'd post this up to see if anyone is interested... Last year a few of us from the club went and there are HUNDREDS of cars at these things!!!! I have copied this over from another forum.. [IMG][/IMG] ANZAC Day, Monday 25 April 2005 guys and girls, its that time of year again, Anzac day and the massive Supercruise is on again. Unlike other years there will be no official meet up place to start the cruise, only an official destination. This is due to the enormous amount of effort to organise meet up, it is easier to just organise a destination point. This year the event will be held at Albion Park Airport from 12pm onwards. There will be BBQ DRINKS Ice Cream Jumping Castle Aeroplane & Helicopter rides. [IMG][/IMG] Entry is via sticker purchase, cost is $20 per car, tickets can be purchased at entry point. Aall monies raised will go to charity, mainly Childrens Hospital at Westmead. Also Police have been notified about the Event and they will be monitoring it so please be on your best behaviour, there will be no defect setup at this place, but please ppl it only takes 1 idiot to screw an awesome event. Bring your family, bring any car you like. Look forward to seing you there. Any enquiries please contact Albert on 0419 430 022 As there is no meeting point to start the cruise, in the past we have met up at the shell service station on centenary drive, just off the hume highway at chullora and then just go for the short cruise down to Roselands Shopping Centre Carpark (King Georges Rd).. HUNDREDS of cars meet there... then follow the bunch down to Albion park... There WILL be cops about.. they usually escort the cars down, but they also set up radars along the way.. so everyone will have to behave but its a good day out... Meet up at the service station at say 9 or 9:15..??? Ben.. |
