Default AU II Replacement CD Players??? Stereo Systems??

I have an AU II Falcon XL Ute, The CD player has packed it in so i want to replace it with a new one.. Can someone please tell me if there are other Head Units on the market (if so which ones) will work with the controls on my steering wheel. Or do i just go to FORD and order a genuine? :

Before it started playing up i put a set of Kenwood 7"x10" 320W speakers in the space behind the seats. I also fitted a bass reflex port 50mm Diameter x 125mm long. This also connected to a Kenwood 2ch x 100w AMP , Really makes the difference when trying to get a little extra bass without loosing the storage room. :the_finge
I am yet to replace those crappy bloody 5" x 7" Cardboard speakers in the doors. Anyone got any ideas to what sort of speakers? Either Splits or 3 way???
