G'day,
My radio in my 98 AU wagon was not working for the last 4 years, well it powered up but i did not have the security code to activate it. So i thought bugger going to ford for them to code it so i removed it and replaced it with a JVC unit. I have connected the earth, power and the yellow cable correctly and the JVC turns on with a message saying "SEE YA" then turns off after 2 seconds. Could this be becasue i didnt have the Security code on the ford radio before i removed it? I dont think the head unit is faulty, would a radio installation shop be able to overide this hassle? I am out of options to do this myself. Any help appreciated. Cheers George. |
